When I met with Vicky, Rick, and her mom at our favorite Asbury coffee shop, she described her wedding day as intimate, with a short ceremony, close family and friends, in Asbury Park, and just six short weeks away. Please! Oh, please! Pick me. I have a huge soft spot in my heart for a small wedding (hey, I had one myself). Did I mention she was also wearing Converse and polka dots? This was meant to be folks.
So, the week before weddings I usually check the weather at least 10 times a day. You know, something might change by the hour, it’s important to stay updated…haha! The forecast for Vicky & Rick’s wedding day was sunny and amazing until two days before the wedding, then…overcast…possible rain. What?? No. The day of the wedding I woke up looked out the window…FOGGY! Like major fog everywhere. Well, this is a first. Kinda exciting actually. And then when I got to Vicky’s home and knocked on the door I was very surprised to see familiar Asbury Park faces. (You’ll see towards the end.) Such good vibes…a great day for such sweet couple.
Rick and Vicky connected because of a mutual love of Asbury Park. They spent their wedding day celebrating each other in this amazing city that brought us all together and wrapped up their intimate event with a lovely/private dinner at Tim McLoone’s with their friends and family. It was such an honor to be chosen to document their beautiful day.

Asbury Parkers – Vicky’s brother and sister-in-law were the former owners of Twisted Tree! (home of the best ginger cookies in all the land) Haha…small world. So fun to see them again 🙂
